The Kleptomaniac by Peter Cherches

Oh, those crazy, unpredictable ups and downs when one is in a romantic relationship. Here's a real lollapalooza compliments of Brooklyn born and bred Peter Cherches. Take pleasure in Peter's perspicacity in positing possibilities of perpetually shifting identities - much more profound than permutations of personality.

THE KLEPTOMANIAC
She was a kleptomaniac. Without knowing it, she stole pieces of him when he wasn't looking and hid them on her person. He knew he was diminishing, but had no idea how or why. And then, poof, all of a sudden he was gone. But she wasn't a criminal at heart, and when she realized what she had done she ended the embrace and returned him to himself.

*The Kleptomaniac is included in Peter's recently published Whistler's Mother's Son and Other Curiosities
