Moderan by David R. Bunch - Bubble-Dome Homes

BUBBLE-DOME HOMES

According to Moderan man, those weak flesh wrecks, humans too weak for steel, should die, the quicker the better - after all, the new world of Moderan could put their little, dirty property to much better use than Bubble-Dome housing their aging, feeble little lives. Moderan man goes on:

"YES! What a waste! All that time, all that energy, all that expenditure - oh, think what it could have meant toward the betterment of our life, the advancement of the Moderan Dream, if it all could have been used correctly! Better defense, maybe, swifter-firing Strongholds, almost surely, or perhaps even experimentation and study for a science breakthrough for more steel in the elite-elite new-metal man, and less flesh-strip - this always core and central to the Moderan Dream. There was a lot of time, energy, expense and know-how went into those bubbledome homes, and don't you ever think otherwise!"

But there is a slight drawback. Moderan man has a conscience that peaks its little kind thoughts out in the middle of the night. Oh, such a flesh-weakness, Moderan man has to admit. If only he had less flesh strips and more steel he wouldn't be bothered by such counterproductive thoughts. Well, perhaps one day Moderan man will be completely steel and rid himself of such human flesh weakness. Maybe one great Moderan day in the future it will happen. One can only hope!
